DASHCAM VIDEO OF MOTORHOME IN RAINSTORM AND CONSTRUCTION ZONE!

Here is some video that I discovered taken on a dash cam while the driver was heading from Alabama to Florida.  Lots of people are getting dash cams now.  Do you have one?  Have you seen the footage?  Some this looks quite impressive.  Your thoughts?

RVing at LL Bean in Maine

Here is the RV lot at LL BEAN in Freeport Maine.  They offer free overnight parking.  The store is open 24/7 too.  Great place to visit.

AIRSTREAM OWNERS HAVE A SPECIAL BOND

Met a group of Airstream owners recently.  They seem to be a VERY LOYAL group of owners.  Here they are in Upstate New York.

Is overnight parking at WAL MART a thing of the past?

Recently there was a shooting death at a WAL MART in Arizona which has been described as a place where RVers set up camp for long periods of time.  Here is a piece by the editor of a highly respected RV industry news publication that says that Wal Mart camping may become history.  Read this story.  What do you think?  Was the murder involving any of the RVers?  This has long term implications on those RVers that just use Wal Mart as a temporary stopping point for the night.

RARE ROAST BEEF RECIPE

Special thanks to Dominic LeRoux of LeRoux Meats and Deli in Holden, MA who shared the best recipe for ROAST BEEF that I have ever tried.  The roast was done perfectly on the outside, yet rare and tasty in the middle.  Here is what he told me to do:

1.  PreHeat oven to 500 degrees.
2. Season meat as you like it.
3.  Place roast in oven and cook at 500 degrees for 5 minutes per pound.  Example  3 lbs= 15 minutes, 4 lbs = 20 minutes.  Do not exceed 30 min at 500 degrees.
4.  After that, turn over temp to 180 to 200 degrees. Roast for up to two hours at this lower temp.
5.  DO NOT OPEN OVEN DOOR.
6.  Then let roast sit for two hours.

Sharing THE 330 RULE for RVers...

Recently, while reading a column by my RV journalist colleague, MIKE WENDLAND, I came across a reference made to the 330 RULE. It is simple, but true. What are we rushing for? Take a moment to read this column. Im sure you will agree with every word of it.

CAMPGROUND DESTROYED BY TORNADO

Was going thru my video archives when I came across this video I took at a campground that was just destroyed by a tornado that ran across Massachusetts in 2011.  No one was hurt at this facility, but there was a camper killed just down the road at another campground.  Take a look.

HUGE BEAR WITHIN FEET OF RANGER STATION

Just saw this on the net.  A HUGE BEAR in Alaska waltzing thru a state park, and just past the door of the ranger station.  And as he went by, another person was walking outside the building...and both characters just went on their merry way.  BEAR WALKS BY RANGER STATION IN ALASKA!!!
The winter can be a time that RVers look forward to getting away from.  However, if you have snow on your roof, here are some tips that you need to follow to prevent serious injury to yourself and the RV.  This post appeared in the blog for www.RVT.com.
